# Update It's been a little over a month, and I'm relearning for thousandth time that I'm not invincible nor the most time efficient. I've finished a few classes for my masters and made good progress on my next cert, but outside of that and running, I haven't had much time for side projects unfortunately. I want to maintain this pace for the next quarter, so it might be some time before I can fully dive into all the side projects I want to. Fiction writing (outside of occasional worldbuilding) and language learning are paused as well. On the fitness front, I finished a [[6-Race Report - Irving Marathon Draft| full marathon]] a week ago and just started a training block for my next race. I usually don't like sharing big goals unless I'm 100% sure I will see it through, but I'm feeling pretty good about this one. I'm running the hottest (temperature wise) 100K in Texas as my first ultra. It's got a good variety of challenges to overcome: the heat conditioning, the insanely sandy trail course, and of course the distance being more than twice any distance I've ran before. I'm excited because it's been years since I've had a solid, appropriately-sized block of time to train (which is my own fault). The main focus is on running on trails more and running in heat as I increment my mileage. If all goes according to plan, I should hit around 80-85 weekly miles at the peak. ![[202603irvingmedal.jpg]] I know I'm putting the majority of side projects on pause, but one of the them I will continue pushing forward on is the Mimic cosplay since it's a couple's cosplay and has its first due date in a couple of months. I haven't gotten much work on it past the initial materials testing, measurements, and contractable teeth prototyping. I should have the outer framing in a good spot over the next several weeks. # Topics Reviewed - CWO hub (103 notes) - Arts hub (29 notes) - Misc (55 notes)
