# Update
It's been a few weeks since the last update. Things are going alright. I finished my first keto diet—or a diet of any kind. I was surprisingly more pleasant than I initially expected, especially since I was on a larger caloric deficit. I had a half marathon less than a week after that ended, and it went pretty well.

My next race is a full marathon up near Dallas. This time I can eat all the carbs I want, so I should be able to push the mileage up in training.
I've not made as much progress on the indie game box as I'd like, but the bottom is just about done. At least for this version 1. As I'm designing this, I'm being a bit lazy, but I'm discovering 7 boxes worth of content—especially with their oversized decks—creates too much volume to pack into a travel box. I can certainly condense it down from 7 boxes, but it still won't be as easy to travel with as more traditional board games.

The Frieren-Mimic cosplay got a little bit of work put into it. For a couple weeks there, the project was in limbo as my partner didn't know if would be a priority this year, but now we're back to focusing on it. I was working on a way of making the Mimic's teeth retractable. I thought it would be cool to have it still look like a chest when open and be able to transform on command. To be clear, this was always the plan B. Plan A is keep it simple: use springs to compress the teeth into the frame when it's closed and protract them when it's open. Plan B evolved into a simple design that uses a motor to rotate a rod with pistons attached to the teeth, ideally with certain triggers and manual overrides to transform back and forth. I've ended up abandoning it at the prototype stage since it's just not worth the effort to finetune it and shrink it further, especially with how short the deadline is. Back to plan A.

Other than that, I haven't gotten back to the Obsidian Starter Kit yet since I was building out some other Obsidian scripts, mainly expanding my query script and adding a birthday tracker to my calendar. Those are in good spots now, so I should have somthing more to say about the OSK in the next update.
